...what's worse is that now they don't even include part numbers, just one big part number.
as much as they'd like to think HP is informed about this and that they jump whenever they hear someone is ordering a 4 year old server for a Cisco app, they really aren't as well informed as they think they are. Our rep placed a call to their HP rep and the part number was not even in there. they were able to create the server based on the individual part numbers.
i can just see it now, we're gonna order 4 servers and we're gonna get one part that is incorrect on each of them and we're gonna just have to settle with ordering additional parts and shelving the others.
why make it so hard for us Cisco? we just wanna be your friend.

It's a shame really. My HP vendor said that we are paying twice as much for this outdated equipment and could sell me faster stuff cheaper.
I really think they need to update their server specs as well. I'm not asking for updates every year, but at least once every four years. ;)

From what I can tell all they did was bump the hard drives up to 146GB, can we at least get some newer processors? Good grief
