Thanks to those who responded to my request. I know when I am on speakerphone mode and mute it, i am the only one who can hear the tone, not the other end. But i want to disable that sound so that I dont' hear it as well. Would it be possible?

Hmmm maybe the “rules” have changed.  I know several years ago that was the case.  I haven’t paid attention to it sense when I noticed that behavior.

hmm, I'm not able to reproduce this ... using a 7940 as the muter and a 7911 as the far end.

Not if you are on speakerphone, the far end user can hear the beeps when you unmute.

Only the person who presses mute can hear the beep, not the far end as far as I can tell.

Is this a problem?

I want to disable the beeps while muting (it beeps once) and unmuting (it beeps twice) from the phones. We have CCM 6.1 and most phones are 7941,7942,7961. Any idea?

Thanks,
