[cisco-voip] NTP Sync in CUCM 7.x under VMware

Hi,

I have installed CUCM 7.0(2a) under VMware, but I am unable to get it
synchronise to an external NTP server. I've tried several external NTP
servers, but using the platform "utils ntp status" CLI command shows that it
is configured (and reachable) but will not sync with the external time
source. The Publisher appears to synchronise momentarily but quickly loses
sync and starts following its own clock. Also, I notice that the appliance
hardware clock is losing time, as compared to the VM Host OS time. I'm sure
certain I didn't have this problem with a CUCM 6.1(3) VM.
