The floating presence bubble is what you get in Outlook 2003, is that what the customer is using?

Hey Matt, thanks for your reply.

I thought ms office communicator's status icon in outlook was different (smaller) and displayed directly in "TO" field when composing a message, not when mouse over the contact, so my bad...

I've found a post in cisco's netpro concerning the calendar integration. The problem is that presence 6.0.x works only with english-based windows and outlook, so if you have a different language system, the calendar in outlook would be also named different (e.g. german Kalender), and it won't work, even if all certificate stuff was installed correctly (and i've done it BTW).

The white jelly bean in outlook is reserved for Microsoft office communicator. There are presently no APIs to integrate Outlook presence directly with other apps.

Your best bet with the calendar integration is to get on the horn with TAC. I have yet to see one go without TAC assistance. The certificate process really needs some improvement IMPO.

Hello all.

I've successfully integrated presence server with CUCM 6, i can login to personal communicator, send messages to other users and use phone mode as desk/soft (and place calls) and also make calls directly from outlook with cupc plugin.

The question is: there is a status icon in outlook (when moving the mouse over the contact's name) and it's always GRAY (offline) for all users. So, should this icon display the personal communicator's status or some other status? If so, how to configure it to display correct status (i remember microsoft office communicator outlook plugin also had such an status icon, and it worked just fine).

Also, i've configured exchange integration, the unified presence troubleshooter reports OK on the presence outlook gateway (i've uploaded root certificate). But the status in the personal communicator does not change to "in a meeting" when i've a meeting in my outlook calendar. Tried disabling forms-based auth on OWA, and enabling webdav in IIS - no luck. In the ip phone messenger service, the "today's meetings" also brings an error : the calendar server may be down...

Thank you.
