More lab testing shows that in CallManager 5.1.2.3000-2 the ACClient.exe is version 5.1(1) as shown in Help About. When I point it to a CallManager 7.1(3) server it shows Server Version AC(7.1.0_c) and offers me the Upgrade button.

The only other thing I noted is that the program folder’s changed going from 5.1(1) to AC(7.1.0_c)

It was

c:\program files\cisco\Unified CallManager Attendant Console

to

c:\program files\cisco\Uniifed Communications Manager Attendant Console

Sorry I want to be certain my upgrade documentation is accurate on version numbers. Usually I myself don’t care and just install whatever AC is in the plug-ins <grin>. I’m hoping this thread might help someone else down the road -jason

I did some lab testing and think the answer is Attendant Console 7.1.0_c gets installed if you upgrade to 7.1.3.

From 6.1(4b) (aka 6.1.4.2000-2) I installed ACCLient.exe and under basic settings point it to a CallManager 7.1.3.10000-11

Launch ACClient.exe Click Help About;

Console Version AC(6.1.2_c)

Server Version: AC(7.1.0_c)

Upgrade

Clicking Upgrade launches CiscoWebAttendant.exe

Cisco Unified Communications Manager Attendant Console Version 5.1.0.266 is already installed. You must uninstall the existing version before installing Cisco Unified Communications Manager Attendant Console Version 6.1.0 Do you want to uninstall the existing version of Cisco Unified Attendant Console? Yes

Windows Installer > Preparing to remove

After upgrade from 7.1.3 complete I click ACClient.exe

Help > About >

Console Version: AC(7.1.0_c)

Server Version: AC(7.1.0_c)

What is preserved when upgrading ACClient? What is lost?

Path Name of Local Directory File

Directory Reload Interval

Speed Dials -Sample Group?

I "believe" (but don't quote me) that it's the same version. There may be some bug fixes between the versions - not sure if it's in the release notes? - but I think the functionality is the same in both versions

Cheers

CallManager 7.0.2 keeps Attendant Console if your previous version has it during a upgrade, I’m familiar with the End of Sale/End of Life, etc.

Is the version of Attendant Console in CallManager 7.0(2) the same as the version in 6.1(4b) or does 7.0(X) it have a newer version if you look in Attendant Console > Help About

In other words what was the last version of Attendant Console the Cisco made before going to Unified Attendant Console with ARC?
