Good day,
The problem is the ata port
Regardless of Cisco advises I bought an Grandstream 8 ports fxs and it works 5 stars.
I have fax that sends over that 50 pages 1 min per page its because of BMW standards its has to have excellent quality..
Or it has to do with the swith qos capability.

Is there any firewall between the ATA and the CallManager, or between the ATA and the other IP endpoint of the call?

You might need to SPAN the switch port the ATA is plugged into and get a packet capture to see if the RTP stream really is healthy the entire length of the call.

Good afternoon,

I have a customer who has reported problems with ATA186's dropping out for calls longer than 20 or 30 minutes. Has anyone seen this before and can recommend a course of action?

I am assuming that this problem is not related to FAX issues (pass-through or relay) because the reported problem is for long calls over 20 mins. (I can't recall too many FAX calls lasting longer than a minute or so) I'm guessing this setup is being used for an analog conference phone maybe?!?

Thanks guys.

Cheers

Dana
