I'm guessing that's a misprint and what you'll want to do is bulk create users with voicemail with that CSV data. The one thing you'll need to do is add the field LdapCcmUserId. Of course, I had to get an ES to update the export tool to get this data and field name. Likely affects the import tool as well.

Try it out on a few than judge the results.

Subject: [cisco-voip] Unity CXN 7.0 LDAP Bulk Import

Hello,

Client has Unity Connection 7.0 that is LDAP integrated with AD. When we try to import LDAP users using the procedure from the admin guide below ; in step 5b the option to select Users from LDAP Directory is greyed out. Am I missing something. If this procedure is not correct how do I bulk import users from LDAP?

To Create Cisco Unity Connection Users by Using the Bulk Administration Tool

Step 1 Log on to Cisco Unity Connection Administration as a user that has the System Administrator role.

Step 2 Expand Tools and click Bulk Administration Tool .

Step 3 Export the data that is currently in the hidden Cisco Unified CM database on the Connection server:

a. Under Select Operation, click Export .

b. Under Select Object Type, click Users from LDAP Directory .

c. In the CSV File field, enter the full path to the file in which you want to save exported data.

d. Click Submit .

Step 4 Open the CSV file in a spreadsheet application or in a text editor, and update the data as applicable. For more information, see the “Using the Cisco Unity Connection Bulk Administration Tool” section on page A-1.

Step 5 Import the data in the updated CSV file:

a. Log on to Cisco Unity Connection Administration as a user that has the System Administrator role.

b. Expand Tools and click Bulk Administration Tool .

a. Under Select Operation, click Create .

b. Under Select Object Type, click Users from LDAP Directory .

c. In the CSV File field, enter the full path to the file from which you want to import data.

d. In the Failed Objects Filename field, enter the full path of the file to which you want Connection to write error messages about users who could not be created.

e. Click Submit .

Step 6 When the import is complete, review the file that you specified in the Failed Objects Filename field to verify that all users were created successfully.

Thanks,

Joe
