I am looking for the same. The handsets do not make a proper seal around the ear with a hearing aid.. We have just turned up the volume to full but it tend to make the sound choppy.. Cisco have told me to just use the latest firmware and all will be good....
I could of laughed my head off when I heard that..

It talks about Hearing Aid Compatibility for Cisco Wired IP Phones. In short is says, However, because of the wide variation in hearing aids, ear molds, ear shapes, and types of hearing loss, there is no guarantee that any specific phone make or model will provide perfect sound quality for all users.
I am trying to source a handset with an amplifier in the handset but not had much luck yet..

Subject: [cisco-voip] Special accomodations for hearing?
I have had several questions from campus staff regarding special
accommodations for either hearing issues.
A few people have asked if there is any way to increase the volume of
the earpiece in the handset above and beyond the maximum level that
currently exists. On traditional phones we could install a special
handset with volume control.
Anyone deal with these issues and how have you addressed them?
Thanks,
Lisa
