It's only a command line tftp client and not installed by default (like
Network Monitor).

Thanks Ryan and Scott too.

I can use tftp; that's fine. Didn't know it was part of Windows OS,
however.

Of course now you two have me interested in Phone Designer :)

Thanks
jeff

Phone Designer is for the end user and is awesome at what it does.
What it doesn't do is let you export that picture/ringtone and the
associated .xml files so an admin can upload them for system-wide use.

Regarding having to use some random tftp client, every Windows PC has
a cmd-line tftp client. There is no need to use any 3rd party
download to retrieve files. If you really don't like using tftp then
you can use the 'file get' command via the CUCM CLI but that requires
an sftp server.

Jeff--

Coming back to this.... the better option is Phone Designer. Very
cool and you don't have to worry about the TFTP / List.xml file.

custom backgrounds and ring tones per person. but could be a policy
issue. you doon't what the ring tone to say pick up the ___ Phone
you____ ___ ____. You get my point.

Greetings,

How do you get a hold of the list.xml file to edit if you want to add
in some new background images? I must be missing something laughable
obvious....

Looks like I could upload a list.xml and .png files via Software
Upgrades>TFTP File Management, but I can't download them?

Can I upload/download using SFTP with FileZilla or something?

Thanks

jeff
