[cisco-voip] Barge function key on CCM

Hi Dave

I have already enabled the privacy button on the phone. But I still have the
problem on the barge function.

Someone called 2110 (shared line), one of the HQ phone 1 receive the call,
the other phone 2 use line 2110, it can be seen the barge button, When I
press the barge button, I only hear busy tone, instead of entering to the
conference. The barge word are displayed on both phone (shared line).

Is it any missing step for enabling barge.

1.	Enable built-in barge on enterprise parameter
2.	Set the privacy off on phone
3.	Create a new phone template for both phone to have a privacy button.
4.	Create a shared line.

Any missing ?

Hi Dave - The privacy button is configured on the Phone Button Template.
You will need to create a new template for your model phone that has this
button.  If you are using CM5.x or later, you can do this from the phone
configuration page by selecting Modify Button Template.  HTH.

Yes....  as mentioned, you need to configure the privacy button on the
bargee phone and disable privacy.

I can see the barge button during remote in use state. However when I press
the barge button (3001 call 2100(share line), then the other phone user
share line 2100), it show busy tone instead entering the conference. When I
press cbarge button, it is okay.

Is there any other step need to enable the barge button

You can do it either place.  However, the enterprise parameters allows you
to select the options for privacy clusterwide (on by default, which means
that the barge option is unavailable.....unless you program a privacy button
on the bargee and have them turn privacy off).  HTH.

setting.

The barge key is enable as long as you have the built-in bridge enabled and
privacy is disabled on the phone.  See the enterprise parameters.   Keep in
mind, that privacy is on by default.  So, on the bargee phone, configure a
privacy button on the template and turn off privacy.  HTH

I am now using CCM 4.1.2, I want to enable barge function key on CCM for IP
Phone. I have already enable the barge function on the service. However I
cannot find any barge key on the IP Phone in the phone softkey template.

 

How can I add the key on the phone?
