IVR uses the Cisco Customized 2003 OS.
I just did one of these upgrades and the best thing is to have new hardware because the upgrade is more like a cut and paste. You have to manually copy all settings/files etc. If you will be using the same hardware, backup everything and take tons of screenshots

Subject: [cisco-voip] Upgrade IP IVR from 4.x to 7.x
Hello group
we plan to upgarde our Ip IVR from Version 4.x to 7.x. I am looking for some planing and installation guids on the Cisco website, but I can't find documentation in this. Has anyone a link to the IP IVR 7.x documentation site?
On what operating system is Ip IVR 7.x based. Is it still Windows or is it also an appliance like CUCM?
Thanks for feedback
