Bah, reading comprehension is overrated.
Yes, in that case the only bit of correct info in that screenshot is
perhaps the IP address.

If the DC Directory is not being used, then the username, base
location, etc. are all incorrect as well.

He didn't specify the CUCM version but the fact that the username is
Directory Manager also points to DCD as the ldap server. From what I
can tell CCX 6.0(1) goes with CUCM 4.3 so as long as the CCM isn't
using AD for ldap then the DCD service should be running.
Either way a simple packet capture will show you why the ldap bind is
failing.

Correct, and since DC Directory is not being used, probably port 389
or 636 should be used.

8404 is the LDAP port for DCDirectory, the ldap directory used in 3.x
and 4.x versions of CallManager.

Wait a sec…
8404 is not the port for LDAP. Port 389 is the port for LDAP, unless
of course it’s secure LDAP, which is port 636.

Hi,
I'm installing Cisco Unified Contact Center 6.0(1) and I can't get
past the LDAP Server information page. I keep getting the following
error:
Unable to bind to server. Please verify the values that you entered.
I'm not synchronizing with an LDAP server in Communications Manager,
so I can only assume that I'm supposed to use Other as my LDAP
server type instead of DC Directory. I've attached a screenshot of
what I've done so far, can anyone point me in the right direction.
Kind regards,
Sechaba Mokoena
