Don't expect replication to show as good until all servers are up and
running.

I believe so, I am referring to rebooting 2 subs, then waiting for
the synchronization to be OK between those two and the publisher

Someone can correct me if I'm wrong, but after you reboot the
publisher the subs won't be able sync (until upgraded).

Subject: [cisco-voip] upgrade question re: database

Hello all,

Upgrading from CM5 to 6.1 this weekend. per the SRND, I can:

install 6.1 on pub (night before)
install 6.1 on all other nodes (night before)
reboot pub node 1
reboot TFTP/MoH node 2
reboot subs nodes 3 - 6

Question is, when I get to the subs. I will be rebooting them in
pairs to preserve call processing (I have 4 total). Is it necessary
to wait for database synchronization to be "Good" status for nodes 4
& 6 before I reboot nodes 3 & 5?

When patching cm 5.1 i've rebooted the subs one at a time and waited
on DB synch to look good, and it seems to take awhile. Trying to
streamline my process so I can move on to testing and making sure
CCX, Unity et al are OK before call centers open in the afternoon.

Thanks!
