[cisco-voip] Call Manager Service Idle Time

We had a network issue over the weekend that went unnoticed for several hours and caused many SDL errors between our Pub and Subs. Phones failed over to the back up Subscriber but did not register until I did a restart on the Call Manager service. Normally phones do not register to this Sub unless there is an outage, Is there any problems with a Call Manager sitting idle for a long period of time until it is needed? The cluster is running on 6.1.1b.
Once the network was restored I then had to restart the Call Manager service on the primary Subscriber to get phones to register back.
