[cisco-voip] Can I remove CUCM 6 from a domain

From the CLI you can delete the dns servers via the command 'delete
dns <server ip>'. Once all DNS servers have been unconfigured the
dns domain name becomes irrelevant. I have not found a way yet to
remove the dns domain name, only change it.

Hi Chris,
My apologies, I saw that after I sent the question
It’s basically not relying on DNS so I usually don’t configure the
Domain and DNS servers.
This CUCM was built and given a domain and DNS servers and I wanted
to know if I could remove them from the server. So they’re not
configured.
I’m working with some coworkers to give them hands on experience but
I didn’t keep my eyes on what they were doing.
Because I don’t configure DNS I don’t know how or if I can remove it
and what issues there could be.
It’s not a big deal to rebuild it again either. Just wondering if I
could save a few steps.
Thanks
Kevin

CUCM 6.1.3 is a linux appliance and can’t actually be added as part
of a domain. So not exactly sure what you mean… Can you clarify your
end goal?

Hello folks,
Can I remove CUCM 6.1.3 from a domain?
It was built and added to a domain but I don’t want DNS.
Do I have to rebuild it?
Thanks,
Kevin O’Donovan
