Sorry to change the subject, but your reply brings up a question that I was asked (and can't answer).

We also assign our CLID in Call Manager so all outgoing calls appear as our "main" number.  However, some users who use Mobile Connect or conditional forwarding would like for the incoming call to show the original calling number, rather than our main number.

Is this possible?  If so, could someone point me to an article?

Mark makes a good point on the CLID.  If you're not going to override CLID internally, make certain you let the LEC know what CLID you want called parties to see on your outbound calls.  This has come back to haunt more than one end user who wasn't aware of this and just told the LEC to assign whatever BTN they wanted to the PRI.  We override everything through Call Manager so it's never been a problem but I know for some it's been some unwanted hassle to get the LEC to change it after the fact.  Especially if there is a third party LD carrier involved.

I don't care what number they put on the PRI, do I?  Is this right:  On telco's side, they point our DIDs to whatever number is assigned to the PRI, then Gateway\CCM et all route incoming calls from the PRI according to the DID that the caller dialed.  So Verizon can assign any number they want, right?
