One issue I did have was with AMD processors used on the ESX servers.

Upgrading a lab CUP server to V7 was time consuming as I had to move it
across to an Intel ESX server upgrade and the move it back to the AMD
server. Its something to do with the checks during install. CDP drivers I
think.
