[cisco-voip] FW: associate end users with line appearance

You associate the user to a phone/device not a line in CCMuser. You assign a
user to a line in the DN settings.

No, they are entirely separate operations (Lines to users and users to
lines) and have no bearing on each other.

Hey, I thought it associated lines to user for CCMUser ?  Does it not?

It's for enabling presence for users per line. Required for CUP/CUPC.

 

P.S. This was also available in 6.1.2 (was added in 6.0.1)

I upgraded from CM 6.1(2) to 7.1(2) and now I see that I can associate end
users with a line appearance in the directory number configuration page.
Any idea what this does?
