They sort of fixed that, you can still implement it that way, or.. (this is from the singlewire knowledge base)

A new free application called ReliCast can be installed and configured to work with InformaCast 6.1.1 and higher and allows users to dial a number to page instead of waiting for the phone to call the user back. If you are interested in this application, please email sales at singlewire.com and request a copy of ReliCast

One problem with Berbee as far as I know (not sure if it has been resolved or changed) is that it did a "call back", so you would dial a number, hang up, it would dial you back and then you spoke. I know a lot of people disliked that model.

I would also go with Berbee. It is a great product.

Berbee Informicast is what we see most CUCM customers use for a paging solution. However, I am also under the impression that it is not cheap, but I have nothing but word of mouth to back that statement up with.

I’ve setup CME paging before without an issue. Let me know if you need a config.

Also, I’m under the impression this isn’t supported on enterprise CallManager. Can someone suggest a third party solution?

Thanks, Jeff

I don’t think there is a CME platform that could support 2000 phones so it does sound like CME paging is out.

I am trying to find out if and how good is CME for ip phone paging? I have about 2000 end points across a fiber network. I need to be able to page to the speaker of each phone at least. We currently have a solution, but are starting to entertain other possible solutions.

Cheers

Why is CME not working for a paging? How many phones are you trying to send to? I have not had a problem using CME to page.

Hi,

Has anyone used CME to page to every phone? I need to find a possible other paging solution. Thanks.
