Somewhat.  The trunks will not have DNs associated to them so it will  
be impossible for end users to call directly to the backup Unity  
server so that will help.  As long as you have separate route groups  
in the route list for the vm pilot then the only time the backup  
Unity server should receive a call is if the primary Unity either  
doesn't respond or rejects an incoming call.

We've had instances where Unity has failed over because for whatever  
reason, a call was answered on the secondary Unity.  And that  
triggers the entire "Primary Unity must be dead" failover sequence.

Does switching to a trunk versus individual ports mitigate that?
