Great question, Scott. Have always wondered that myself. Is there
something one could do in an IPCC script wherein they could dial in via
an external number, have the script query the caller for the "extension"
of the MeetMe conference and then initiate the conference rather than
the necessity of the conference being initiated from an IP phone and the
associated softkey. Sure would be handy.

I've always been interested in the WHY of that question. Is there a
reason why you can't, or Cisco has just decided that for security they
are just going to write the code to prevent it?

Does anyone know if it is possible to start a meet-me conference from a
non-sccp device such as an h323 endpoint.

Thanks in advance for the advice
