If you have a support contract I'd highly encourage you to open a TAC
SR before restarting anything. There are tools that will allow TAC
to see what portion of tomcat is consuming the virtual memory.

If you don't care or don't have a support contract you can simply
restart Tomcat (utils service restart Cisco Tomcat) to recover the
memory (for a while).

Hi all,

Over the last couple of hours I have started receiving RTMT critical
alerts on my publisher stating:
Available virtual memory below 30 Percent. tomcat (1023 MB) uses most
of the memory.

I've read a few places online trying to find a resolution.
Unfortunately the suggestions I have come across mention that I
should reboot the Call Manager, I would like to avoid doing this as
much as possible.

System version: 6.1.2.1112-2

Anyone have any suggestions?
Chris
