I have seen this option before on some very old systems. I think it was an
AT&T Merlin.

Not really. The only feature to look back in time through the history of 
the call flow is the "Use Personal Preferences" option under Hunt 
Pilot.  That is a very unique scenario that unfortunately does not match 
your needs.
