Yes, we got bit by that. It was checked by default in 7.1(2) I believe. Even though we had it off in 7.0(2) after the upgrade it was checked on. Not sure why they make system wide changes like that override your settings. Anyways... 

Our users were used to the settings not being saved, so what I did was reset everyone's account to normal/normal using the bulk edit tool, then unchecked that parameter. 

In actuality, I did a dump of all users and only modified those users that had their's at a different settings. Took less time to bulk edit 50 users than 2500.

We recently migrated from Unity 4.05 to Connection 7.1.3. For some reason a lot of our users seem to be having an issue with this setting at default. 

"Save Speed and Volume Changes Made by User" 

I have seen some older posts regarding this, I am curious as to how people have ended up setting this.
