I guess you are right b/c i also gone through the compatibility matrix and it shows 5.1(3f) but when you go to the link to download 5.1(3g) you'll find that you can upgrdae 5.0.x to this patch. This made me confuse.

 

so we should go on to 5.1(3f) first and then to 5.1(3g) ?

compatibility matrix says that is not supported:

I believe you need to go to 5.1.3f first.
I believe the documentation is correct as their is a specific issue that caused signing keys to change.  CSCsj44723, not currently externally visible.
