[cisco-voip] Something like http://ip/dial?.....

When I did it, there was no userID/password passed in the URL. A cookie was used to return the registered phone information for that browser session.

I'd probably not go down the path of userID/password in the URL for that same reason you state.

That did it.

Thanks!

The format is something like this

https://<yourcallmanager>:8443/webdialer/Webdialer?cmd=doMakeCallProxy&uid=<yourEndUserID>&appid=<yourEndUserID>&pwd=<yourEndUserPassword>&pwdEncrypted=true&destination=<number you want to call>

<usual URL line wrapping comments apply here>

I did have to do the F11 thing to capture the userID and password.
Obviously, there are some security risks...

As in, if I was really into pranks, I could change the URL to reflect a co-worker's EndUser account and pwd, putting in his ID and his password (which, being an admin, I could set) into the URL, and paste that into my browser... I could make HIS phone place calls.... ;-)

Here's what I did:

    • launch webdialer (see documentation for launch URL for that version)
    • login, save login settings/credentials, change confirm setting to automatically dial
    • dial a number
    • press F11 to get full screen in browser, you can see the URL

so.... I've got Webdialer running.

It dials from Personal Address Book...

What's this about building URLs that automatically dial the number in the URL?

webdialer will do something very similar.

you install webdialer on a subscriber, then the first time you point to it, you log in. then if you select remember log in, you can just use the dial URL.

Hello.
Back a couple of yrs ago I had a special URL which once clicked I could make my phone dial.

Does anybody know the correctly formatted URL ?

It was something like http://<ip_address_of_Deskphone>/dial?<number>

We are on UCM 7.1.3.10000-11.

Thanks.

James.
