It's also used for any of the off-box tools that require database access, like CUDLI, and COBRAS Export, etc. If you're using these tools on a daily basis, then it needs to be on.

Used for COBRAS Imports when doing migrations, it's designed to stay 
turned off...it should be disabled if not doing any migration work. 

This is like the Cisco Messaging Interface service, if you don't use 
SMDI then leave it disabled.

I am just curious why the thing is crashing 30 seconds after it 
starts... and then restarts 

it is generating a lot of alerts, so I disabled the service... 


Is it just used for RTMT?
