We were able to use Exchange 2007 with Unity 4.x but everyone got an annyoing little message that their mailbox was full every time they checked voicemail and some had trouble forwarding messages, etc. We upgraded to Unity 5.x and have had no issues since. That being said, I guess it is both incompatible to a degree and definitely unsupported by Cisco.
Oh, and the upgrade from 4.x to 5.x was a nightmare. I spent over twenty-four (24) hours straight on the phone with Cisco techs the first time we tried the upgrade and they weren't able to figure it out either. We tried two (2) more times after that with no success. We finally just did a clean install of 5.x on new hardware and and used COBRAS to move the accounts.
Good luck...

This document:

indicates that Exchange 2007 is not supported with Unity 4.2.
Anyone know if this means it is incompatible or is it simply
unsupported? Anyone know for sure if it can't work with Exchange 2007?
Any pointers appreciated.
