[cisco-voip] what are "SU" iso files?

the "a" was a fix to a serious problem after 7.1.2 was pulled. 

i believe the SU is now a "public" ES release, since they are not releasing all ES files. 

i would have rather not seen the SU and just the ES. cause now we have to read the release notes to see what ES is included in the cutting of the SU. 

ugh.

Good question, i was thinking a letter revision might be a CM bug fix and an SU a system (OS) fix but the release notes indicate a whole bunch of stuff. 
I'm now going to postulate that an SU update is like an ES but it has important enough bug fixes that it replaces the original release in the delivery pipeline. That leads me to also believe a Letter Revision release is only for major bugs (7.1.2a only had 3 or 4 fixes, SU1 has close to if not more than 50) 
I'd love to hear the real answer

What are "SU" files???
