No theVG224/RouterFXS would take t.30 and decode/encode to t.38 across wan where gateway to pstn could change back to t.30 -jason

don't the end devices have to support T.38 though? i mean, assuming everything is configured correctly, is the end device still not a concern?

Because it's a legacy proprietary method cisco created when we first
started doing voice.  It has not been updated or touch in years, and
they've removed support for it in 15.0.
