[cisco-voip] User Associated with Line

It is used for presence (CUPS) for sending out the PUBLISH SIP message
to display the "on the phone" status on CUPC.

Hello group

 

we have a CUCM 7 running in our Lab and are playing around with it. We
found a field User Associated with Line under the Directory Number
Configuration. Here I can associate end users to the directory number.

Does anybody know whats the benefit if I associate the enduser here?

I allready have associated the user on the Phone Configuration / Owner
User ID
