[cisco-voip] CUCM 8.0 feature question

Hello,
The new Cisco-branded ARC console is a completely different product from
the old Cisco Attendant Console. It runs on its own server and no export
is possible.
The new console does not include speed dial lists in the same sense as
the old Attendant Console does anyway, so exporting it would do you no
good.
Cisco/ARC have done a good job of providing free demos to partners at
least. www.cisco.com/go/ac has the details on this. I strongly recommend
looking at the new product prior to purchasing it because it is nothing
like the old product. Depending upon how you were using the old product,
you may not find it to be the correct solution.
Thanks,

The Arc or Cisco rebrand both could be brought up before your upgrade.
Don't know of any tools to migrate thou.
YMMV.

Hi everybody,
do somebody have experience with the migration from the old AC to the
now version in 8.x?
Is an export of all settings in the old version and an import in the new
version possible?
Are there some tools existing for the migration?
Or must we make all settings and entries in the AC new after the update
to version 8.x?
Are the new version also supporting CCM 6.x? This would make it possible
to do the AC migration before the Software Update on the CCM.
We are also planning a update to 8.x and the customer is also using the
AC. A lot of questions. J
Best regards,
Peer

Cisco is leaving that function to third party vendors. Cisco has the
ARC Console solution on their price list as a separate item, I can't
remember the product name off the top of my head that Cisco uses for
it though. It would be a separate item with it's own server etc now.
Oh, goody... ANOTHER server. I presume ARC Console service runs only on
Windows...
Thanks for the info, though!
Robert
