I actually went a step further and rebooted -- no luck. Certs should be
good.

some things to consider:

    • did you upload the certificate to the connection server?
    • try restarting the Connection IMAP Server (under connection
servicability)

Those are two things that helped me in the past.

Cooking with unix is easy. You just sed it and forget it.

Subject: [cisco-voip] Unity Connection 8 IMAP authentication fails using
LDAPs

We have our Unity Connection server set to authenticate with our AD server
using secure LDAP over port 636. When, I attempt to retrieve messages via
IMAP, it fails and says I have a bad username or password. If I turn of
secure LDAP, and just use port 389, IMAP works fine.

Our Callmanager is using the exact same config for LDAPs authentication and
it works fine -- so I am confident the certs are okay.

If anyone has come across this problem in Unity Connection 8, please let me
know.
