NM-CUE is bad news, you won't be able to do CUE 8. There are tons of new features in the later cue releases. Are you sure it's not a NME-CUE?

Subject: [cisco-voip] CUCME ver 8, 6941's, and CUE

Hi guys,

Can anyone share some wisdom please. I'm doing a smallish CUCME/cue deployment and it's been a little while...

So I have a 2951. It came with iOS 15.0(1)M3 but doesn't recognize the newer 6941 phones. I upgraded to 15.1(3)T but the other phones (7962) just sit there saying registering. CUCME doesn't appear to come up with this ver.
So I downgraded to 15.0(1)M4 and the 7962's come up ok. But there's no support for 6941's.

What version of iOS for a 2951 will support the 6941's?

Ok next problem is CUE. Ordered version 8.0. Received a NM-CUE with version 3.2.1. When I installed the NM-CUE it kept reloading. So I installed version 7.1(5) which I happened to have on my notebook. Now CUE boots and is stable but the license I have is for only 50 mailboxes I have no port licenses. Is CUE supposed to come with 8 ports included? If I install CUE version 8 fresh will it include the 8 ports? Or will it be a case of contacting licensing / TAC?

Thanks guys
Dana
