[cisco-voip] Unity 5.0 in the AD 2008 R2

We have a Windows Server 2008 R2 DC in our domain; however our forest and domain functional levels are at 2008, not 2008 R2. We’re running Unity 7.02 UM with Exchange 2007 and are not seeing any issues.

Ed,
I am currently working with Cisco TAC regarding this issue. So far we added 1 Windows 2008 R2 DC in to our Domain and am not seeing any issues.
Do you have Windows 2008 R2 in your domain?

Thanks, I had been using this one:
http://www.cisco.com/en/US/customer/prod/collateral/voicesw/ps6788/vcallcon/ps556/product_bulletin_c25-468500_ps2237_Products_Bulletin.html

The one you linked looks newer.

When did R2 come out? I saw some commentary on the netpro forums that cisco doesn't typically update it's compatibility policy for about 60 days after release of an update like R2.. this didn't look like it was from an official source so take with a grain of salt.

Scott, which document are you referencing?

My company is in process of upgrading Windows 2003 to Windows 2008 domain. We will use Windows 2008 R2.
Per the Cisco documentation, currently Cisco is not supporting AD 2008 R2. We currently have CUCM 6.1, Unity 5.0, and Exchange 2007.

Anybody using Windows 2008 R2 AD with Unity 5.x or 7.x?

•The Cisco Unity server typically is a member server in an Active Directory 2008, Active Directory 2003, or Active Directory 2000 domain. All domain and forest functional levels are supported, including the levels formerly known as mixed mode and native mode.

Active Directory 2008 R2 is not currently supported for use with Cisco Unity. You cannot have Active Directory 2008 R2 domain controllers in a forest that contains a Cisco Unity server. When R2 is supported, this document will be updated with that information.
