[cisco-voip] Ldap DirSync

Yea, I’m aware of how to alter the filter, but (at least on CUCM) the filter applies to all LDAP queries, and can only be 256 chars. Problem becomes that to define a group it takes 84 chars and of course you have to have at least objectclass=user. That means I can only define 2 or 3 groups to look at. I know I can work around it, but was just looking to see if there was anything coming down the pipe so I wouldn’t have to.

try this out:

it's for Connection, but I think the same holds for CallManager

Cooking with unix is easy. You just sed it and forget it.

Anybody aware of any feature requests or new features to the Ldap DirSync service that would make it a little more useful (I'm on UCM 7.0.2)? Specifically I'm looking to be able to alter the ldap filter on a per defined directory basis (so I can pick multiple groups out of my AD), or that DirSync will traverse "objectclass=group"'s looking for "objectclass=user"'s. Sounds complicated, but if you have a fairly large AD then you'll know what I'm talking about.
Thanks for any insight guys.
