I think we are going to see Cisco pushing more feature enhancements to the next version rather than the .x releases. The version you buy is the version you get (with bug fixes perhaps). But to get feature enhancements and new features, you'll have to get the next version. 

Plus, with CUWL licensing, you need UCSS. 

It just got more expensive to run our telephone systems.

CUCM 8.0 adds support for custom LDAP filters. 8.0 is targeting a mid-Feb release.

Last I hear Cisco's stance was to use ADAM, or whatever it has been renamed to.

Anybody aware of any feature requests or new features to the Ldap DirSync service that would make it a little more useful (I'm on UCM 7.0.2)? Specifically I'm looking to be able to alter the ldap filter on a per defined directory basis (so I can pick multiple groups out of my AD), or that DirSync will traverse "objectclass=group"'s looking for "objectclass=user"'s. Sounds complicated, but if you have a fairly large AD then you'll know what I'm talking about.
