Most providers have no clue on this... don't know why.. .but it just always seem to be the case.. trial and error. I have seen a lot of time where 911 requires different settings than everything else.

There could be, it all depends on how your provider processes calls. For us, 911 wouldn't work unless we were national national. It's just a field in the IE element, but there's no telling exactly what your provider will do (they probably can't even tell you)

Any implications of this? All of my settings are Cisco CallManager right now and I've never had to do differently.

I'd try setting your "calling party ie number type" to national on the gateway

We are having outbound caller ID issues on our PRI. Our Carrier says the following: a-nature is set to spare needs to be set to national
My gateway is MGCP controlled and I am on 7.1.2 CCM and the GW is on 12.4.15T8 and is a 1760.
Can someone point me to where/what this is? I've never heard of "a-nature" as a term until this issue came out.
My guess is it has something to do with my numbering plan?
Thanks!
