[cisco-voip] ISR G2 IOS UCME

Someone pointed out the Cisco License Manager application. Before the 3750Es and ISR G2s most everything for standard route/switch platforms was honor based licensing. Now that Cisco is moving towards feature activation type licensing it is going to be burdensome on us to keep track of licensing information (much like it is for UCM, Unity, UCCX, etc). Have you ever tried rehosting UCM? Keeping good track of all of the SO from the past 10 years? DMA upgrade licensing before there were DLU? Good luck. I'm sure the same headaches will come when you RMA that 3925 and need to get your license rehosted.

Going to give CLM a spin today. Hopefully they will eventually support any PAK activated license through this application.

How is it any different than today on the licensing??

You put the licensed code on the router and never touch it for 5 years.

Once a router is licensed it is good you never need to re-license it every 6 months or anything like that.

I think we talked about this some last week. Not many choices....like two. I believe everyone is going with the 15.0.1M1.

Anyone have a problem with there being no central management application for license activation?

Hello All,

I will deploying UCME for a customer on an ISR G2 3925 integrated with CUE.

What have people been using for voice deployments for IOS? What IOS appears to be the most stable? I know there are not many options out there right now.

Any feedback the good bad or ugly?

Thanks

Matt
