Operations Manager, NYC | 120k+ 

This is a full time, on-site, salaried position in New York City paying
$120,000 (or more) + benefits (after the first day!). US Citizens, Green
Card holders, EAD or CAN only please.  Local candidates preferred, but will
relo a rock star  =)  Thank you. 

We seek an experienced Operations Manager with network administration, data
center, IT infrastructure, and hardware architecture experience.
Responsibilities include vendor, project, and quality management, leadership
of the engineering team, and technical architecture design. We seek an
innovative and driven person with proven experience and a desire to work for
a growing, international organization! 

MUST HAVES/DEAL BREAKERS: Most important are going to be the SQL querying
abilities - that's a deal breaker if they can't do it, the ability to log
into a CISCO device and configure - need to be very hands on and VOIP
experience

Responsibilities: 

* Support Escalation - Act as Level 3 escalation for key production systems
and network infrastructure 
* Capacity Planning - Responsible for managing the growth and balance of
production systems including voice circuits (TDM and VoIP), data circuits,
collocation sites and production platforms 
* Project Management - Organize and lead projects for managing cost, service
quality, and capacity of key production systems and network infrastructure 
* Quality Management - Ensure the highest level of service for our clients
by creating, tracking, managing, and reporting key performance indicators
related to service delivery 
* Design - Assist in strategies for technical architecture and
implementation of key production systems and network infrastructure 
* Cost Control - Assist in budget planning, budget management, and cost
optimization through analysis, project definition, and project management 
* Reporting - Assist in definition of key performance indicators and ensure
accuracy and management of reporting to maintain control of department
planning and strategic objectives 
* Vendor Management - Establish and manage key vendor relationships 
* Ambassador/Advocate - Establish working relationships with peers around
the world to share and adopt best practices 

Requirements: 

* BS in technical discipline or equivalent experience; advanced degree a
plus 
* 10+ years prior experience in data center, IT systems & network
administration 
* 5+ years of data center operations experience that includes capacity
planning, forecasting, disaster recovery planning and implementation, and
business continuity 
* Current technical expertise in the development and implementation of IT
infrastructure (windows servers, SAN storage, Cisco routing and switching,
security, backup, virtual computing, etc) 
* Deep hardware architecture experience (highly available systems, storage,
benchmarking) 
* Experience with monitoring and remote management solutions 
* Ability to interact with team members in multiple cultures and time zones 
* Demonstrated competence to prioritize and manage multiple projects while
maintaining operational excellence  
* Excellent written, verbal, interpersonal, and problem solving skills with
a high degree of integrity and discretion
