I'm thinking you can maybe set up the syslog alarm for DRS to the highest level and maybe that will get a successful message logged to the syslog, playing with it in the lab now.

As far as I can tell, it only sends out messages when it fails. 

I run some scripts that check things out and compare sizes, etc. and tell me if things are ok.
