I should clarify that of course you can add the entry to the hosts
file, which is all well and fine until it becomes out of date,
obsolete, etc; It does happen, and with the appliances you don't have
that flexibility.

No UC infrastructure should ever be built around or rely on DNS. It's
bad design. It's bad practice.
