Johnny,

We hoppe onto CUPS 8.0 to move towards XMPP for use with mobile devices, which I think you're discussing below. We have a Blackberry environment and started by trying Vayusphere. It was clunky and would not stay connected. Unfortunately most other client require you open your Jabber server to the Internet as they proxy the connections in order to support session keep-alive for devices like the iPhone. While apprehensive, we exposed the ports to trial BeeJiveIM and have not regretted it. Beejive is a feature-rich client for Blackberry as well as iPhone, and even support push notification on iPhone. It's worked out well and will help us as we look at migrating away from Blackberry Messenger as a mobile messaging standard in order to support users outside our Blackberry network.

Hi everyone,

Does anyone have a website that shows some available XMPP clients available for download (free or at a cost) that provide the enterprise functionality such that it replaces the Mobility Advantage Clients?

Kind Regards,

Johnny
