[cisco-voip] 2900 and 3900 routers license

I’d rather cut my throat than X-Modem, but I guess it’s pretty small. I once had to X-Modem a 6509 Native IOS image in rommon from my laptop, took more than 10 hours…I left..it timed out…came back to do it a second time…

I had to install a license on a managed router that didn't have access outside a very restrictive dmz. I only had dialup access to it through a console server. I ended up having to copy it through xmodem but it worked.

I have just did it today with the normal approach “just for one router” I used the PAK on Cisco.com<http://Cisco.com> and downloaded the file then applied it to the router…pretty straight forward.

Dear all;

I have a 2911 router with a PAK number purchased to activate unified communication part on the router “imagine a router not supporting dial-peer command ☺”….I am asking what is the approach you take to install that license…I read Cisco License Call Home feature I found it very cool to do it…what about you…what method are you using?

Plus anyone has a reference of what is outside the scope of unified communication license and needs a separate license “I mean “from a technically point of view” activation key, I don’t care about the purchasing part as another team do it” AFAIK the CUBE and gatekeeper needs a separate license for them above the unified license applied to the universal IOS image…what about SRST and other applications.
