I actually have a customer that open the back of the 7940 phone, and
soders a connector on for an external speaker. It didn't look that hard
if you got any electronics knowledge. I took some pictures but don't
recall what I did with them!

You could also find a 7970 phone, and peel the sticker off the side of
the unit and expose the MIC/Speaker connections. I can say that this is
not officially supported though J

You could try one of the new 9900 series phones that has the native
audio/mic outputs to hook into a room system.

Customer has a 7936 conference phone thats not loud enough, in a large
room. Does anyone have any recommendations to increase the volume, 3rd
party or otherwise?

Thanks in advance,

Nick Griffin
