[cisco-voip] CUCM Cluster

Thanks for the doc.

On top of this you would also have to reconfigure all phones, gateways, etc.
to point to the new IP(s). In a large environment change = headaches.

Thanks,

I don't know why you are trying to do this but during a backup/restore (as
mentioned below) AFAIK I don't believe that you can change the IP of the
PUB, so after the backup/restore the new PUB (the former SUB) will then have
the original PUB's IP. so you are essentially just swapping hardware out.
but that may have been your goal.

On a separate discussion, to me it appears that once you set the IP of your
PUB you are "married" to it, and to change it is not a viable option. Am I
wrong or has it gotten easier to change a PUB's IP with the newer versions?

Thanks,

Go0se

You can backup the pub, wipe the sub, reinstall it and then restore the pub
backup to it

That's the only way I know that would have the desired net effect, if you
are thinking along the lines of promoting the sub to a pub or doing anything
not requiring a reinstall you are out of luck AFAIK

Hello.

Is there a way to change a sub to a publisher and then remove the original
publisher from the cluster with 7.1 cucm. If so can anyone point me to the
documentation?

Dane
