Yes, the SCCP version absolutely matters with transcoders and conference
bridges, actually more so than the FXS interfaces.

As an FYI, SCCP version is a viable reason (in order to get the version
match) to do an IOS upgrade.  MGCP versions are not as finicky.

Browsing through the Cisco Knowledge Network presentation on Call Manager
7.1.3 Features and Upgrade I ran across a pre upgrade task to make the
following change to:

 

SCCP gateways (VG224)
sccp local FastEthernet0/0
sccp ccm 10.1.1.1 identifier 10 version 7.0

 

I wonder is this also applies to SCCP controlled conference bridges in ISR
routers and if there is any impact if they are a lower version?
