fyi - just ran across this in CM Hot Issues:
CSCsy72201 Bug Details
Need to remove FreeFTPd from recommended backup servers........... This program is not supported due to a 1 gig backup limitation that has not been addressed by FreeFTPd. Developers have confirmed that FreeFTPd is not supported. If it is not supported it should not be a recommendation to run it.
I have used FreeFTPd for a while with no problems but it looks like I need to find a new Windows 2003 SFTP solution.

Do you have a link
to specific documentation detailing the 1 gig limit? I believe I have a lot of
end users using freeftpd in production.

I have used freesshd a lot in the past,
just had a problem with stability of the product.
You should NOT be using freeftpd in
production. There is a bug where if the backup is over 1 gig the back file is
corrupted.

Coreftpd,
freeftpd… those are all options I have used in the past.

As far as what I see Filezilla does not
work. It does FTP over SSL but not SFTP. Vincent can you provide how you were
able to get this to work?

Vince, Can you elabore in more
detail how you setup FileZilla Server to be a SFTP server?
Since it's not a feature I haven't been
able to make it work. I love FileZilla Server and would die for
SFTP. I just find Google links to references liks yours and replies from
me saying it doesn't do SFTP <grin>.

FreeFTPD has a 1 GIG
limit of all files sent during a login..
Try the new
solarwinds SFTP or sysmax’s server…
