[cisco-voip] FXO Port and Caller ID

Caller-ID on FXO ports with H.323 has worked for years, if the Telco is
sending you the information on the call setup. A lot of times business don't
order it because it is extra and they don't realize they have to pay for
features.

Caller-ID support on MGCP FXO ports requires CUCM 8.0 and 12.4(20)T and
above.  You don't need to jump to 15.0 for this.

Caller-ID was added on MGCP FXO ports in 8.0 with IOS 15.0/1 I believe.

AFAIK, it needs to be an VIC2 card to do callerid.

My understanding is this is available with CCM 7.x   and a certain IOS level
(which escapes me) on the router

Will show call history on an FXO port on a 28xx series router not show the
inbound caller ID phone number if the phone company is indeed sending it?
