So we are still going to be required to have a CUMA server to use the
blackberry but will not need one for the Iphone or Android?

The RIM MVS model in place for mobile 7 on the BB is the way it'll stay as
far as I know.

What about the blackberry without CUMA using Cisco Mobile 8.0?

Bill,

I believe there's no development project right now for a WM7 dual-mode
client. At this point, I think a lot of development organizations are going
to wait to see the market penetration of WM7 before committing enterprise
projects to it. Think about how big webOS was going to be, and ended up
being a platform with very little excitement in the marketplace now.

I am not looking at Dual mode phones but looking at using Cisco Mobile
without the CUMA server.

The best I've found at this point is this link on the Cisco Blog from
August 2010:
http://blogs.cisco.com/ciscoit/dual-mode_phones_challenges_for_an_enterprise
_deployment/

<quote>
Over the next six to twelve months Cisco IT is looking to introduce
support for additional platforms which will mean we have availability
on Blackberry (our biggest user base), iPhone, Android and Nokia.

I don't think Windows 7 is a glimmer in Cisco's eye yet. Market Share
phones will determine the order of Release, is my personal opinion.
